As concerns over vehicle theft, fuel diversion and road safety continue to grow across Nigeria, indigenous mobility technology company AutoSecure is gaining national attention for its integrated vehicle tracking, dash camera and fuel monitoring solutions.

The company, which operates across major cities including Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, has recorded increased adoption of its services by private motorists, logistics operators, ride-hailing drivers and corporate fleet managers seeking improved vehicle security and accountability.

In a statement to the media, AutoSecure noted that it provides GPS-based car tracking systems that allow users to monitor vehicle location in real time, access route history, set geo-fencing alerts and remotely immobilise engines in cases of theft.

According to industry operators, these features have helped improve recovery rates for stolen vehicles and reduce unauthorised vehicle use.

The company stated that AutoSecure’s dashboard cameras are being deployed as safety and documentation tools, offering video evidence for accident claims, police encounters and insurance investigations.

Transport analysts say the growing use of dash cams reflects rising demand for objective records in a system often affected by weak documentation.

“On the commercial side, the company’s fuel monitoring technology is helping fleet operators address fuel theft and inefficiencies. Using smart sensors, businesses are able to track fuel levels in real time and analyse consumption patterns, a development logistics firms say has significantly reduced operational losses”, the firm said.

AutoSecure also revealed that it recently launched what it described as Nigeria’s first all-in-one vehicle security mobile application, integrating car tracking, dash cam access and fuel management into a single digital platform.

The upgraded app enables live vehicle tracking, route playback, remote engine shutdown, real-time dash cam viewing, fuel alerts, driver behaviour reporting and emergency safety features.

Transportation experts say the innovation comes at a critical time for Nigeria’s mobility sector, which continues to face challenges including rising theft rates, unsafe driving practices, fuel fraud and limited post-accident accountability.

“AutoSecure’s solutions are increasingly being adopted by delivery companies, transport firms and corporate fleets, as well as individual car owners seeking greater visibility over vehicle usage.

“Beyond its technology offerings, the company attributes its growing footprint to nationwide installation services and customer support,” the firm added.

Industry observers note that AutoSecure’s expansion reflects a broader shift toward locally developed digital mobility solutions, with expectations of future partnerships involving insurance providers, emergency services and public sector agencies.

As Nigeria moves toward smarter transportation systems, AutoSecure is positioning itself as a key indigenous player in vehicle security, monitoring and fleet management.
